QC PathFinder: Easy to Use in 4 Steps

Based on research funded by NIH/NIAID and developed in consultation with world-renowned experts, QC PathFinder uses live microbiology lab, pharmacy, surgical, radiology, critical care and other data feeds to track patterns that suggest an outbreak or unusual occurrence of a particular organism before the outbreak occurs. QC PathFinder can receive, analyze and track lab data, pharmacy data, syndromic data such as chief complaint, and other data provided in any standard format. The technology is based on research by scientists, engineers, and clinicians from leading institutions, while the user friendly web interface allows users to view statistical process control charts, line listings, anti-biograms, and alerts generated by the system in response to detection of unusual patterns from anywhere in the world.

As shown below, QC PathFinder's unique technology enables you to monitor, analyze, detect, and act to prevent outbreaks from becoming problems for your health care institution.

Setting up QC PathFinder to monitor live microbiology lab, pharmacy, surgical, radiology, critical care and other data feeds allows it to detect potential outbreaks based on an Infection Control Plan. Team members are automatically notified when an alert has been triggered.

Select the important parameters and QC Pathfinder automatically generates detailed reports, with drill-down capabilities and anti-biograms.  These reports drive analysis of microbiology and other data.

QC PathFinder can create seven different kinds of control charts, which can be used to detect critical trends occurring right now at your facility.

QC PathFinder significantly reduces time spent manually reviewing data and compiling reports, allowing more time to act on prevention and intervention strategies. QC PathFinder provides tools to support JCAHO National Patient Safety Goals and Infection Control Standards.
